About the Opportunity

Apprenticeship Support Australia (ASA) is seeking an experienced mentor to join their team as a Mentor Support Officer in Karratha, Port Hedland, or Newman. This role involves providing vital mentoring and support services to ASA clients, facilitating apprenticeship completions, and addressing industry, workplace, and personal issues.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will have knowledge and awareness of issues and potential barriers to completion of Apprenticeships, a minimum of 12 months relevant experience working with young people, and understanding of the issues faced by women in trades and/or male-dominated work environments.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments with clients to identify potential barriers to completion.
  • Deliver in-person, phone, and online mentoring support to clients, offering ongoing assistance throughout their training contract.
  • Undertake contact visits with Key Client Group (KCG) clients to identify complex issues early.
  • Develop and maintain Tailored Support Plans (TSPs).
  • E nsure accurate and timely maintenance of databases and TSPs, adhering to compliance requirements.
  • Deliver information sessions at school and community events to promote the value of apprenticeships and traineeships.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in job search and employment services for job seekers.
