Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Mining Engineer to join our team. The main purpose of this position is to develop and maintain mine designs and schedules, ensuring compliance with safety, legislative, and statutory requirements.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to maximize operational productivity and equipment utilization.
  • Preparing and communicating site physicals for budget and forecast processes.
  • Providing detailed rolling medium-term forecasts and budgets for the operation.
  • Communicating effectively with technical services, maintenance, and mine operations personnel in relation to deliverables for mid/long-term schedules.

This position offers flexibility, including an 8 and 6 roster, with options for residential, DIDO from Mackay and surrounds, or FIFO out of Brisbane.

About You:

You will have experience in a similar role, ideally from within the resources sector.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Mining Engineer is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in a mine operation.
  • Proven site experience in mine scheduling and design, along with associated tasks.
  • Competent user of Vulcan, Deswik, Spry.
  • Demonstrated experience of contributing to Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Commitment to safety and the environment.
