Job Title: Mining Engineering Professional

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to develop mine plans and schedules for our operations located near Moranbah.

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role, ideally from within the resources sector, and be able to monitor and report on production performance against plans and schedules.

The role involves developing relationships with key stakeholders, preparing and communicating site information, providing forecasts, and communicating with technical services personnel.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of risk management, a flexible attitude, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders to maximise operational productivity and equipment utilisation.
  • Prepare and communicate site reports for budget and forecasting processes.
  • Provide detailed medium-term forecasts and budgets for the operation.
  • Communicate effectively with technical services, maintenance, and mine operations personnel regarding deliverables for mid/long-term plans.
  • Assist and mentor other members of the technical services team as required.
  • Ensure designs and plans are compliant with relevant statutory requirements and legislation.
  • Actively identify and report hazards and incidents.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Mining Engineer is essential.
  • Experience in a mine environment.
  • Proven experience in mine planning and design, along with related tasks.
  • Proficient user of mining software.
  • Experience contributing to Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
