Extract and Analyze Geological Data

About the Role:

A key player in our mining operations will be responsible for extracting and analyzing geological data. This expert will deliver technical advice to support strategic decision-making and optimize mine scheduling and performance.

You will work closely with Mine Managers to resolve technical challenges and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration with mine staff and project teams will be essential to ensure well-structured plans are in place to meet operational and business objectives.

• Ensure the quality of Technical Services Mining delivered are fit-for-purpose and can bridge the gap between theoretical/design and practicality in the workplace.
• Work across the ventilation and gas management space to ensure safe and compliant underground mining conditions.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of systems that support effective airflow and gas monitoring.
• Enhance the value of resources by applying relevant technology.
• Plan and coordinate mine planning and production review meetings engaging all relevant site stakeholders.
• Maintain high standards in underground environmental controls.

Qualifications:

• Extensive operating experience in UG coal mining.
• Thorough understanding of the coal mining processes.
• Working knowledge of relevant mining legislation and its application.
• High level of planning and problem-solving ability.
• Previous experience within underground mining operations (preferably coal).
• Previous experience with mine planning tools.
