Are you a highly skilled and experienced Mining Engineer seeking a new challenge?
Job DescriptionWe are currently seeking a talented professional to join our team as a Mine Planning Superintendent.
The main purpose of this position is to develop medium to short and medium-term mine designs and schedules for our operations. A key focus will be to monitor and report on production performance against the plans and schedules and to ensure compliance with safety, legislative, and statutory requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to maximise operational productivity and utilisation of equipment in schedules.
- Preparation and communication of site physicals for annual budget and monthly forecast processes.
- Provide detailed rolling medium-term forecasts and budgets for the operation.
- Communicate effectively with technical services, CHPP, maintenance, and mine operations personnel regarding deliverables for mid/long-term schedules, including physical quantities, resource, and utilisation requirements to deliver schedules and long-term mine plans.
- Assist and mentor other members of the technical services team as required, e.g., design, EOM process, and short-term engineering challenges.
- Ensure designs and schedules are compliant with the site SHMS, relevant statutory requirements, and legislation.
- Actively report hazards and incidents.
- Participate in safety investigations as required.
- Always act in a safe manner.
- Undertake project work as directed.
