As the Senior Director of Marketing Services, you will develop, implement, and drive the business development and marketing strategy within the Australian market. Your initial focus will be on building brand awareness and reputation of our marketing services in the market to attract new clients. This role involves some travel to Singapore.

You will connect and collaborate with local teams, partners, and potential clients to gain a complete understanding of the Australian market and build the right propositions and capabilities that leverage our existing capabilities and align with our global marketing proposition while addressing any nuanced client challenges.

To support the integration and growth of our global marketing portfolio, you will work alongside our global marketing leaders to shape, champion, and evolve our global marketing and business development strategies. You will also work closely with our Australia communications team to introduce marketing services to current clients and partner on brand building activities for our company in the Australia market.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and evolving a business development and marketing strategy for generating new business opportunities for our marketing services in Australia, including digital, content, event, and awards strategy.
  • Sourcing, developing, and winning new business opportunities for our marketing services in Australia.
  • Tracking the progress of business development against sales goals for each quarter.
  • Supporting our global marketing leads to innovate a distinctive, compelling, deliverable global marketing proposition.
  • Contributing ideas and insights, developing frameworks and systems that foster a unified approach to prospecting and marketing for sustainable marketing growth.
  • Being an expert in the Australian market and understanding the nuanced client needs that may adapt and evolve the proposition for this region.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Building, nurturing, and growing strong client relationships to develop a portfolio of accounts that meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Working with our APAC team to develop and evolve targeting criteria, such as personas and ICPs, that can enable excellence.
  • Working with our APAC team to develop and manage SOWs for new projects, adhering to our guidelines throughout the project.
  • Overseeing AU project delivery and working with our APAC team to provide ongoing client progress updates to key stakeholders to communicate all progress, outstanding items, budget, and deadlines.
  • Building and sustaining critical relationships with clients and internal teams to deliver outstanding client work.

Additionally, you will:

  • Behave famously by attending marketing and other networking events to promote and build our marketing services brand in Australia.
  • Support our global marketing services new business, participating in RFPs, new business pitches, and referring prospects and clients into other markets.
  • Regularly mentor team members, present case studies in Australia, APAC, and or global team meetings.
  • Work with our finance team to price client work, accurately forecast pipeline, and track work to ensure profitability targets are met.
  • Hire new marketing services Australia team members as the business meets milestones.
  • Proficiently facilitate collaboration across multiple teams to cultivate a culture of curiosity, creativity, and innovation.

Requirements and qualifications include:

  • Must be located in Sydney.
  • Must have 5+ years of senior leadership experience in an agency setting, leading a client portfolio with revenue and new business responsibilities.
  • A strategic thinker who operates with a growth mindset, comfortable challenging the status quo.
  • Proven track record of managing senior client relationships and driving client satisfaction and retention.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across team and geographies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
