Community Suicide Prevention Specialist

The Suicide Prevention Coordinator will play a crucial role in developing and implementing localised strategies to prevent suicide within geographic, cultural or educational communities.
As the coordinator, you will have the opportunity to engage with communities as they develop targeted and sustainable approaches to prevent suicide through a collaborative approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coaching and mentoring community-led committees to identify, plan, and launch suicide prevention activities tailored to their specific needs.
- Leading suicide prevention activities with university partners across Australia.
- Providing support to disadvantaged communities within NSW.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications for suicide prevention.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience of community development and participatory practice.
- Ability to engage and develop effective relationships with government and non-government agencies, as well as the broader community.
