Job Overview:

This role encompasses leading the delivery of high-quality, recovery-oriented and trauma-informed support in collaboration with Peer Suicide Prevention Workers. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, coupled with a passion for suicide prevention.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead high-quality recovery-orientated, trauma-informed support in collaboration with Peer Suicide Prevention Workers to individuals who utilize the SafeHaven services.
  • Provide strategic leadership in delivering an innovative suicide prevention drop-in program that offers rapid access to compassionate care from suicide prevention workers and supports access to relevant services.
  • Ensure the delivery of a high-quality non-clinical suicide prevention program; provide training, reflective supervision and support to staff; facilitate education to other staff members and community stakeholders about suicide prevention strategies.
  • The position requires evening work, contributing to after-hours service delivery (5pm – 9pm, 6 days a week).
