
Senior Suicide Prevention Specialist

Lead a team of professionals in providing high-quality, recovery-oriented support services to individuals experiencing suicidal distress.
Utilizing your expertise and skills, you will deliver an innovative suicide prevention program as part of a contemporary team aiming to reduce distress and promote safety.
Responsibilities- Provide expert support to individuals in crisis, assisting them to access appropriate services in a non-clinical environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to lead high-quality recovery-oriented, trauma-informed support initiatives.
- Contribute to education and capacity building for other staff and community members on suicide prevention strategies.
- Participate in after-hours shifts and lead shifts on weekends as required.
- Qualifications in accordance with relevant health regulations or extensive postgraduate experience in delivery of suicide prevention support services.
- Extensive experience in situational distress, recovery-oriented service provision, trauma-informed care, safety planning, and risk management.
- Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, including ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence.
- Capacity to initiate, lead, and complete quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
- Strong computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office and experience with relevant Health-related computer programs.
- Eligibility list may be created for future Temporary Part-Time positions.
