Business Resilience Lead Role

We are seeking a skilled Business Resilience Lead to strengthen our ability to maintain critical business services. This role involves designing and embedding business resilience strategies, frameworks, and capabilities across various platforms.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of post-trade equities infrastructure, including trade, clearing, settlement, and subregister functions. They will also have experience in designing and implementing operating models with clear accountabilities, metrics, and governance structures.

  • Improve our resilience posture by contributing to the resilience strategy (roadmap, governance, and operating model) and execution.
  • Identify and document critical business services, assess their criticality, tolerance levels, internal process, system, data, and external dependencies, supporting Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and risk management.
  • Define and assess potential failure scenarios using structured methodologies, contributing to the design and testing of recovery and continuity plans.
  • Design and coordinate external market testing exercises across the ecosystem, including customers, third-party providers, and internal systems.
  • Design and implement the resilience architecture, including objectives, key results, metrics, ownership, and dashboards to support governance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business domain expertise: understanding of post-trade equities infrastructure, including trade, clearing, settlement, and subregister functions.
  • Business Architecture & Process Mapping: ability to map critical business services to processes, systems, and dependencies.
  • Scenario Planning & Risk Assessment: proficiency in structured methodologies to assess failure modes, risk management, and playbooks.
  • Business Continuity & Recovery Planning: knowledge of BCP, BIA, DRs, Communication Plans, and Firedrills principles and practices.
  • Operating Model & Governance: experience in designing and implementing operating models with clear accountabilities, metrics, and governance structures.
  • Dashboards & Reporting: skills in designing and implementing dashboards and reporting tools to support governance and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: strong communication skills to collaborate across business, operations, and technology teams.
  • Analytical & Structured Thinking: ability to approach problems methodically and deliver a tailored approach to uplift our resilience posture.
