About the Role:

The Operations Associate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Sydney trading business. This involves managing trade capture and position reconciliations, as well as providing profit and loss estimates for the day's activity. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate actions, equity derivatives operations, asset management operations, or futures and options settlement/support, with a strong understanding of financial instruments and international financial markets.

Key responsibilities include reconciling position breaks, producing nightly profit and loss estimates, handling corporate actions and dividend requirements, and liaising with external parties to resolve any position/cash discrepancies. The successful candidate will also contribute to system improvement to help streamline daily processes.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar capacity
  • Operational knowledge of Asian securities markets ideal
  • Thorough knowledge of equity and OTC derivatives, particularly equity swaps
  • Strong corporate actions knowledge, covering economic implications of flows as well as operational booking and reconciling requirements
