Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join our team at the Northern Sydney Local Health District. As a Lead Mental Health Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and leading a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

This is a permanent and temporary full-time and part-time position available. The successful candidate will work up to 38 hours per week and receive a salary of $35.33 - $49.60 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support quality patient health outcomes with a focus on recovery across various healthcare settings
  • Assume a leadership role within the nursing team, supporting, coaching, and leading Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Assistants in Nursing (AIN)
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate specific mental health nursing care activities that support the multidisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements
  1. Current Registered Nurse – Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  2. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  3. Current mental health, drug, and alcohol clinical knowledge and proven problem-solving ability with a clinical setting
