About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse who shares our commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centered care. As a member of our team, you will work closely with consumers, their families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote recovery, safety, and well-being.
Our unit is dedicated to creating safe and therapeutic environments that foster trust, respect, and empowerment. We prioritize least restrictive practices and use evidence-based interventions to support consumers in achieving their goals.
The successful candidate will have:
- A current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience working in a mental health environment, preferably in a high-dependency setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- A commitment to cultural responsiveness and understanding of the social determinants of health
As a Registered Nurse in our Mental Health High Dependency Unit, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans that prioritize consumer needs and preferences
- Provide direct care, including medication administration, wound management, and behavioral support
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and compassion within the unit
