We are seeking a skilled Senior Mental Health Transition Specialist to join our team at the NSW Government.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership, mentorship and supervision to ensure the delivery of evidence-based, strengths-focused, recovery-oriented assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team.

This role involves working alongside mental health teams to support consumers transition into their sustainable and safe home in the community. The specialist will carry a clinical workload, appropriate to the needs of the service, and work across multiple services and sites with clinical teams to support the assessment and progression of safe transitions of adults consumers with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) into the community.

Key requirements include relevant qualifications as an Occupational Therapist or Social Worker, demonstrated extensive experience in mental health rehabilitation, skills in leadership and clinical supervision, and effective interpersonal skills. The salary for this position is approximately $90,000 per year, based on the company's usual compensation package for similar roles.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be able to work independently and in consultation with the multidisciplinary team, and possess an Australian C-Class driver's license. This is a full-time position, but part-time or job-sharing arrangements may be negotiated.
