**About the Opportunity**

This is a part-time Senior Health Education Officer Mental Health Service role at NSW Health, one of the leading healthcare providers in Australia. As a Senior Health Education Officer, you will work as part of the Pathways to Community Living Initiative (PCLI) team in South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD).

The role involves a mix of leadership responsibilities and direct consumer work to support consumers with complex mental and health care needs. You will lead peer worker service delivery within the PCLI team in SWSLHD and work closely with the PCLI team, other SWSLHD MH senior peer workers, and MH services/teams.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead peer worker service delivery within the PCLI team in SWSLHD
  • Work closely with the PCLI team, other SWSLHD MH senior peer workers, and MH services/teams
  • Provide lived experience engagement and support for consumers identified through the PCLI program

**Requirements**

  • Tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent experience as deemed relevant by the employer
  • Personal experience of having a mental health problem or disorder, and of using recovery principles to share your personal experience of mental health to support consumers in their recovery journey
  • Demonstrated knowledge of, and commitment to consumer-led recovery and ability to plan, implement, and evaluate group and peer-led interventions using a quality improvement process
