Medical Researcher and Laboratory Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Researcher and Laboratory Supervisor to join our team at Central Adelaide Local Health Network.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a Medical Scientist or Technical Officer to work in a dynamic laboratory environment. As a Medical Researcher and Laboratory Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of scientists and technicians in the performance of routine diagnostic techniques.
You will apply scientific and technical knowledge, expertise, and competence to develop, select, and adopt new techniques and methodologies. You will assist in the training and supervision of technical laboratory staff and contribute to the Department's teaching and research activities.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- To lead a team of scientists and technicians in the performance of routine diagnostic techniques
- To develop, select, and adopt new techniques and methodologies
- To assist in the training and supervision of technical laboratory staff
- To contribute to the Department's teaching and research activities
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., medical science, microbiology, biochemistry)
- Proven experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in a supervisory role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
