The Position
Providing comprehensive, high-quality clinical and laboratory hematology services to both inpatient and outpatient client groups is a key responsibility of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering a full range of laboratory services
- Fulfilling all responsibilities within the unit, including clinical care, laboratory services, research, administrative duties, and leadership roles
- Providing teaching and training to relevant groups as needed, and actively contributing to the unit's research activities
- Participating in the Outreach Clinical Hematology services

The Facility
This facility is open 24/7, and it is one of the busiest in South Australia, with approximately 85,000 - 90,000 attendances per year.
Key Information:
- Emergency Department is open 24 hours, seven days a week
- Obstetric trauma centre for South Australia and a designated state trauma centre
- ACEM accredited Mixed and Paediatric ED
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- MBBS or equivalent degree enabling registration with AHPRA
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration
- High level skills in clinical haematology, with a desirable expertise in leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma
- Experience of high level clinical and academic research including publications in peer reviewed journals
- Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice in Haematology
