Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the management of our catering operation and implementing strategies for training and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Menu Development: Create innovative and delicious menu options that showcase your culinary skills and creativity.
- Catering Operations: Manage the daily catering operation, including preparation and oversight of team members' rosters, to ensure seamless execution and high-quality service.
- Training and Development: Coordinate training programs for apprentices, trainees, and new team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
- Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrate effective leadership and motivate team members to promote morale, professionalism, and a positive work environment.
Requirements
- Culinary Qualifications: Hold formal qualifications in commercial cookery and have a minimum of 5 years' post-qualified experience in a fast-paced, bulk production environment.
- Food Trends and Knowledge: Have a comprehensive understanding of food trends and be able to apply this knowledge to create innovative and appealing menu options.
- Communication and Teamwork: Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
