Southport Sharks features a wide array of dining options, including a daily buffet that presents a variety of international dishes, catering to diverse palates, along with an exquisite A La Carte menu. We invite you to bring your culinary creativity and passion to our team.

To excel in this position, candidates should have:

  • A minimum of Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
  • A valid Food Safety Hygiene certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating in a fast-paced kitchen environment with a skilled team
  • Maintaining a keen attention to detail
  • Ensuring that food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques align with established recipes and standards
  • Applying your culinary skills to create high-quality meals for our guests
  • Assisting in the training of fellow chefs, apprentices, and trainees to uphold exceptional quality and production of menu items
  • Monitoring food quality and adhering to hygiene standards, reporting any discrepancies to the Head Chef
  • Encouraging safe working practices within the kitchen
  • Coordinating with the Sous Chef, Chef D'Partie, and Executive Chef regarding workflow needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a diverse kitchen setting
  • Knowledge of the Food Safety Act
  • Strong time management abilities
  • Capability to perform well under pressure
