About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at Southport Sharks. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the catering operation and implementing strategies for training and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of menus and culinary programs
  • Manage the daily catering operation, including preparation and oversight of team member rosters
  • Coordinate training programs for apprentices, trainees, and new team members
  • Demonstrate effective leadership and motivate team members to achieve high standards
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a passion for culinary excellence and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality food and service. You will have excellent organizational skills, a reliable and honest attitude, and the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. You will also have excellent communication skills and an approachable manner, with a strong customer service focus.

You will have formal qualifications in commercial cookery and a minimum of 5 years post-qualified experience. You will also have a comprehensive understanding of food trends and experience working in a fast-paced, bulk production environment.
