Southport Sharks features a wide array of dining options, including a 7-day Buffet that presents a variety of international dishes, alongside an exquisite A La Carte menu. We invite you to bring your culinary creativity and passion to our team.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possession of a minimum Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
  • Certification in Food Safety and Hygiene

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a dynamic kitchen environment alongside a skilled team
  • Maintain meticulous attention to detail
  • Ensure adherence to food preparation, presentation, and cooking standards as per established recipes
  • Leverage your culinary skills to create high-quality dishes for our patrons
  • Support the training and development of fellow chefs, apprentices, and trainees to uphold exceptional quality in menu items
  • Oversee food quality and ensure compliance with hygiene standards, reporting any discrepancies to the Head Chef
  • Encourage safe working practices within the kitchen
  • Coordinate with Sous Chef, Chef D'Partie, and Executive Chef regarding workflow needs

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a diverse kitchen setting
  • Understanding of the Food Safety Act
  • Strong time management abilities
  • Capability to perform well under pressure
