Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Director to lead our Contract Logistics team in Oceania. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and sustaining partnerships with internal teams and customers, conducting regular performance discussions to ensure transparency and foster strong relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large, diverse teams and handling complex logistics operations. They will be familiar with the Contract Logistics sector in Oceania and have knowledge of local regulations and market dynamics.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiencies and productivities.
  2. Collaborating closely with customers and immediate superior in budget formation and financial monitoring.
  3. Overseeing effective contract administration and regularly reviewing service scopes.
  4. Taking the leading role in new operational deployments, utilising experience and expertise to minimise risks.
  5. Fostering a culture of performance management among direct reports to encourage continuous improvement.
  6. Recognising training and development requirements and actively working with individuals to promote their career growth and personal development.
  7. Effectively addressing any underperformance, strictly following the DP World standard processes and maintaining a proactive focus on succession planning to fulfil the business requirements.
Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field. MBA or other relevant postgraduate degree is an advantage. Minimum 10 years in Contract Logistics Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise with different stakeholders, including customers, staff, and senior management. Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills to manage operational issues, logistical challenges, and business strategy. Strong project management skills including planning, execution, and monitoring of operations.
