Job Overview:

The Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Manager plays a pivotal role in enhancing local industry participation within the CLCM contract, focusing on maximizing sovereign capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for AIC Services under the CLCM Contract and oversee the AIC Plan.
  • Facilitate AIC Stewardship across the ACS Enterprise, ensuring effective Supply Chain management.
  • Conduct comprehensive AIC Risk Management assessments across the ACS Enterprise.
  • Engage with Australian Industry bodies to identify compatible capabilities and work to minimize barriers to entry.
  • Organize local Industry engagement initiatives and provide regular updates on AIC opportunities and their economic impacts.
  • Promote local capabilities within the Global Supply Chain.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement and Performance Analysis across the ACS Enterprise.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of the ISO 44001 standard.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in:
  • Australian Industry Capability
  • Commercial and Business Development
  • Procurement and Supply Chain Management
  • Technical Engineering
  • A degree in Engineering and/or Business, or equivalent AIC Management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of Maritime engineering, Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), and maintenance support.
  • Extensive understanding of the Australian Defence industry.
  • Proficient in Risk Management and Commercial negotiation.

All candidates must possess and maintain an active Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Defence Security Clearance. Only those with NV1 Clearance or higher should consider applying.
