Job Summary:

Commercial Contract Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team as a Commercial Contract Specialist. The successful candidate will effectively manage all commercial and contract matters on allocated subcontracts for the project.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with operational standards throughout project delivery and maintain adherence to subcontracting guidelines.
  • Support internal stakeholders with tendering, negotiation, and formation of assigned subcontracts.
  • Collaborate with internal management and stakeholders to review project budget and ensure adequate allocation to subcontracts.
  • Administer all subcontracts to optimize earnings on the project.
  • Assist in preparing claims and variations for adjustments under the head contract and assigned subcontracts.
  • Manage and resolve claims with subcontractors/suppliers in accordance with Contract Formation and Administration Operating Standards.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering, quantity surveying, law, construction management, or economics (CM&E) preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in managing subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Demonstrated experience as a contracts administrator or commercial advisor on building projects.
  • Highly organized with ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, strong attention to detail, and desire to drive outcomes.
