Job Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and committed commercial contracts professional to provide commercial support to our business. The role encompasses reviewing and negotiating tenders, customer supply contracts, and addressing other commercial issues in the region.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Strategy and work with Sales Directors, General Managers, legal teams, and other key stakeholders to drive desired commercial outcomes.

The role can be based in Brisbane, Perth, or Sydney, and offers a unique opportunity to grow your own way within a dynamic organization.

  • Support commercial contract negotiations, including coordinating reviews and obtaining required input/approvals from business stakeholders and legal teams.

  • Oversee and review the execution and compliance to contracts, managing variation requests, and finalizing contract completion.

  • Have knowledge on commercial best practices and be able to review and understand business risk and support business decisions.

  • Support the Regional Strategic Leadership team on commercial issues as they arise.

  • Be familiar with insurance policies and advise on coverage issues.

  • Demonstrate commitment to our safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of tender and/or commercial contract experience.

  • Mining/engineering/construction industry experience highly desirable.

  • Ability to read, analyse, and understand commercial ramifications of contract provisions.

  • Good commercial sense and excellent contracting skills.

  • Effective communicator who can speak fluently about business priorities, risk, and challenges.
