Executive Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at SSAM K&J PTY LTD T/A SSAM MINI HOT POT KOREAN CUISINE. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading and coaching junior staff, planning and evaluating menus, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and coach junior kitchen staff to achieve exceptional food quality and presentation.
- Plan and evaluate menus to ensure consistency and excellence in food production.
- Report to the Head Chef and contribute to the overall success of the kitchen team.
- Ensure compliance with all occupational health and safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
- Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies, and complete duties to ensure the quality of menu items.
- AQF Certificate III, IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or proper working rights in Australia.
- Organized and able to solve complex problems.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, self-manage, and be detail-oriented.
- Ability to multitask and work in a high-turnover environment.
- Proven ability within sections of a kitchen.
- Good management qualities.
- Ability to follow standards, procedures, and company recipes.
- Advanced communication skills.
- Impeccable presentation, hygiene, and grooming standards.
At least $73,150 + superannuation.
