Industrial Relations Professional

The Industrial Registrar plays a pivotal role in maintaining fairness and equity within the NSW justice system by establishing remuneration frameworks, resolving industrial disputes, hearing and determining matters, conducting investigations and reporting on Ministerial referrals, and exercising additional functions under relevant legislation.
This frontline/in-person position requires an in-depth understanding of various types of matters filed with the IRC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all statutory functions as outlined in the Industrial Relations Act 1996 and associated legislation, including regulating industrial organisations, managing case files, conducting hearings and providing high-level legal advice, mentoring colleagues, and ensuring efficient Registry operations.
Key attributes for this role include strong legal expertise, exceptional advocacy skills, high levels of integrity and professionalism, resilience and sound judgement when handling complex cases, a commitment to justice and public service, and the ability to work independently and manage a high volume of work.
