Job Opportunity: Industrial Relations Consultant

This role offers a chance to work in an exciting and dynamic environment, focusing on industrial relations and compliance. As an Industrial Relations Consultant, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our organization's payroll systems are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

You will be responsible for interpreting complex Enterprise Agreements, managing payroll compliance, and driving effective remediation processes. Your expertise in industrial relations and analytical mindset will enable you to design comprehensive testing regimes and robust review processes.

About the Role
  • We are seeking a highly experienced professional with a strong background in industrial/employee relations, including specialist expertise in employment law.
  • You will have hands-on experience with payroll, a detailed understanding of relevant legislative frameworks, and a proven track record of successfully implementing compliance measures within large organizations.
  • Your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills will enable you to present findings, explain regulatory considerations, and facilitate training.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret complex Enterprise Agreements and develop effective remediation plans.
  • Manage payroll compliance and ensure accurate processing of employee data.
  • Design and implement comprehensive testing regimes and robust review processes.
  • Collaborate with Legal teams to clarify and action compliance requirements.
  • Engage with IT professionals to translate IR needs into technical solutions.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualified with a degree in Employee/Industrial Relations/Human Resources/Law or related discipline.
  • Considerable experience in industrial/employee relations, including specialist expertise in employment law.
  • Hands-on experience with payroll and a detailed understanding of relevant legislative frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
