Career Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurse to lead and contribute to a state-wide dementia care program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert consultancy, research, education, and clinical leadership to shape OPMHS and inpatient services.
About the Role:
- This is a full-time temporary position available until 30/06/2028 with a maximum of 38 hours per week.
- The successful candidate will be working across various WSLHD locations.
Main Responsibilities:
To drive research, education, and clinical innovation; lead and supervise CNC peers and the nursing workforce; plan and deliver specialized education and training to support people with extreme behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD) with complex care needs.
Key Requirements:
- Qualification: Postgraduate qualification related to the specific area of specialty
- Registration: Registered Nurse with current authority to practice with AHPRA
- Selection Criteria: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA. Minimum seven years of full-time post-graduate experience, including at least five years in the specialty field. Possession of an approved postgraduate qualification and/or master's degree relevant to the specialty
- Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team with a strong commitment to clinical excellence in nursing practice
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with initiative, accountability, and sound clinical judgment
- Experience delivering education and training with understanding of evidence-based practice and person-centered care
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement
- Experience in conducting or contributing to research, clinical audits, and/or clinical practice improvement projects within OPMHS
- Eligible to drive in NSW and willing to travel across the state as needed

Remuneration: $70.43 - $71.74 per hour
Hours Per Week: 38
