About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated dementia professional to support our team on a permanent full-time basis. This is an opportunity to embed best practice dementia care and develop staff capacity through education, mentoring, and coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advisory services to residential and community aged care teams through regular clinical review meetings and on-site support.
- Build staff capacity through education, mentoring, and coaching in practice, including case study discussions and documentation reviews.
- Plan engagement with individuals, families, and teams to achieve agreed practice development objectives and quality improvements.
- Participate in projects and assignments as required, leveraging areas of skill, expertise, and knowledge.
Requirements
- Expertise in supporting people living with dementia.
- Demonstrated skills in teaching, mentoring, and coaching others.
- Experience in Australian residential aged care and/or community aged care.
- High-level negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent administration skills.
