Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned clinician to lead our dementia care program, providing expert consultancy, leadership, education, research, and service development. This role involves driving clinical leadership, collaborative projects, applying research to enhance practice and innovation, planning and delivering specialized education and training, and mentoring the next nursing leaders.

  • Provide expert clinical consultancy across OPMHS

  • Lead and supervise CNC peers and nursing workforce

  • Drive clinical leadership and collaborative projects

  • Apply research to enhance practice and innovation

  • Plan and deliver specialized education and training

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving dementia care services

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve clinical excellence in nursing practice

  • Conduct research and evaluations to inform clinical practice and policy development

  • Mentor and educate nurses to improve their skills and knowledge in dementia care

  • Represent NSW Health at conferences and meetings related to dementia care

Requirements:
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., gerontology, mental health)

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

  • Minimum 7 years of full-time post-graduate experience, including at least 5 years in the specialty field

  • Approved postgraduate qualification and/or master's degree relevant to the specialty

  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework

Eligibility Criteria: Must be eligible to drive in NSW and able to engage in travel across the state as needed.
