Job Title: Expert Dementia Care Professional
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to lead a pioneering state-wide dementia care program, providing expert support to NSW Inpatient Health units in caring for individuals experiencing extreme Behavioural and Psychological Symptoms of Dementia (BPSD) with complex care needs.
Main Responsibilities- Lead and drive research, education & clinical innovation in dementia care.
- Shape services & mentor the next nursing leaders in the field.
The successful candidate will lead as a senior clinician driving expert consultancy, leadership, education, research, and service development. They will provide expert clinical consultancy across OPMHS, lead and supervise CNC peers and nursing workforce, drive clinical leadership and collaborative projects, apply research to enhance practice and innovation, and plan and deliver specialised education and training.
Requirements- Post-graduate qualification related to the specific area of specialty.
- Registration: Registered Nurse with current authority to practice with AHPRA.
- Minimum seven years of full-time post-graduate experience, including at least five years full-time equivalent in the specialty field.
