Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Care Specialist to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This casual position will provide high-quality support to individuals impacted by modern slavery, from a client-centred and trauma-informed casework approach.

The successful candidate will be responsible for offering ongoing assessment, case planning, and coordination of services to meet the needs of clients. They will also participate in daily house administration and deliver training/presentations about our Safe House programs to partner agencies as requested.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Offer high-quality support to individuals impacted by modern slavery, using a client-centred and trauma-informed casework approach.
  2. Provide ongoing assessment, case planning, and coordination of services to meet the needs of clients.
  3. Participate in daily house administration, including maintaining cleaning rosters and room check-ins.
  4. Deliver training/presentations about our Safe House programs to partner agencies as requested.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field OR demonstrated high level of sector knowledge and skills attained through previous appointments, service and study/development.
  • Current NSW Employee Working with Children Check.
  • Current full NSW Driver license.
  • Relevant experience in a social service environment.

Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per annum, depending on experience, with opportunities for career development and advancement within the organization.
