Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Catholic Healthcare. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality clinical nursing care to residents in our residential aged care home.

About the Role
  • Job Description: Providing direct clinical nursing care to residents in line with best practice nursing procedures, acting as Team leader, providing coaching, supervision, and guidance to the personal care team, working in a safe manner to protect yourself, your colleagues and residents closely following all policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver exceptional patient care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating individualised care plans that meet the physical, emotional, social and cultural needs of residents.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care strategies that enhance the quality of life for residents.
  3. Maintain accurate records and documentation of resident care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
  4. Supervise and coach personal care staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care to residents.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification, current AHPRA registration, thorough understanding of the Aged Care Legislation and Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, staying up-to-date with best practice in aged care.
