Construction Safety Coordinator

The Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a significant project that involves upgrades and replacements of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years. The proposed project consists of three Department of Defence establishments:
- Albury Wodonga Military Area
- Blamey Barracks (Kapooka)
- RAAF Base Wagga
The estimated capital investment of $1.7b will include various elements such as:
- New messing and living-in accommodation
- New training facilities
- Refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings
- Remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services
This role requires reporting to the Safety Manager and delivering accurate and timely administrative support to the team. Key responsibilities include:
- Entering and extracting data from the incident management system
- Assisting site teams with training materials and presentations
- Supporting, coordinating, and providing advice on safety practices, systems, and procedures across the project
- Communicating safety requirements to subcontractors onsite
- Preparing and updating all required Project Safety Plans and registers
To be successful in this role, you will require relevant experience working as a Safety Administrator within the construction industry, knowledge of project risk management controls and actions, and strong communication skills.
The salary range for this position is approximately $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on location and experience. This role is locally based, and relocation is required for those outside the Albury/Wodonga/Wagga areas. An attractive relocation package will be made available to the successful applicant.
