Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Coordinator to join our client's team on a 14-townhouse development project near Ballina (Northern Rivers region of NSW).

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and coordinating on-site activities for a team of tradespeople.
  • Ensuring quality control and adherence to construction standards.
  • Participating in hands-on work, such as carpentry, site setup, and other tasks.
  • Managing site safety, enforcing compliance with regulations, and identifying potential hazards.
  • Overseeing materials ordering, deliveries, and stock management.
  • Liaising with site supervisors, project managers, and contractors to maintain project progress.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff and apprentices.
  • Facilitating clear communication among all team members.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Foreman in residential construction projects.
  • Strong skills in various trades, including carpentry, concreting, framing, etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and regulations.
  • Current construction white card and first aid certification (preferred).
  • Capacity to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
  • A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and hands-on approach.
