Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Coordinator to join our client's team on a 14-townhouse development project near Ballina (Northern Rivers region of NSW).
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating on-site activities for a team of tradespeople.
- Ensuring quality control and adherence to construction standards.
- Participating in hands-on work, such as carpentry, site setup, and other tasks.
- Managing site safety, enforcing compliance with regulations, and identifying potential hazards.
- Overseeing materials ordering, deliveries, and stock management.
- Liaising with site supervisors, project managers, and contractors to maintain project progress.
- Mentoring and supervising junior staff and apprentices.
- Facilitating clear communication among all team members.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Leading Hand or Foreman in residential construction projects.
- Strong skills in various trades, including carpentry, concreting, framing, etc.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and regulations.
- Current construction white card and first aid certification (preferred).
- Capacity to read and interpret blueprints and construction plans.
- A proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and hands-on approach.
