Nursing Professional Development Facilitator

The Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner is a key professional who facilitates learning, drives change, mentors others, leads initiatives, and champions inquiry.
As a NPD Practitioner, you will assess opportunities and challenges within and outside the organization to guide learners toward desired outcomes.
Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities based on global healthcare trends, legislative changes, needs of collaborative partners, educational gaps, emerging technologies, and clinical staff members' desire for growth.
You will interact with learners to contribute to nursing professional development processes and ensure the achievement of measurable outcomes.
A key aspect of this role is creating, planning, implementing, and coordinating orientation programs for new staff members. You will also monitor and report compliance with required documentation for orientation and evaluate the unit/department orientation process.
Additionally, you will serve as a resource for clinical inquiry, including identifying potential projects, and/or subject matter expertise. This includes demonstrating a spirit of inquiry to support professional curiosity through research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement initiatives.
You will design engaging, interactive, state-of-the-art educational activities/plans rooted in adult learning principles; implement and coordinate activities related to clinical practice and lifelong career development.
Regulatory standards will be integrated to meet requirements for continuing education contact hours, when appropriate.
