About the Opportunity:

As a key member of the Mastermyne team, the Operations Manager will play a critical role in leading the QLD coal operations and driving business growth. Reporting to the CEO, this individual will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the coal contracting operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to clients and stakeholders.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven professional with a strong background in coal operations and contract management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading large-scale underground projects, with a deep understanding of the coal industry and its challenges. They will be a strategic thinker, able to develop and implement effective plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency;
  • Lead the QLD coal operations team, providing guidance and direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients and stakeholders;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration;
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategies to drive growth and revenue;
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement process improvements, ensuring efficient and effective operations;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in coal operations and contract management, with a strong background in leading large-scale underground projects;
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective plans to drive business growth and improvement;
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to build and maintain high-performing teams;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams;
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop insights to inform business decisions;
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports;
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
