The Undermanager (ERZ Lead) is a frontline leader responsible for the day-to-day functioning and performance of the crew. This role involves effectively managing people and equipment to carry out planned work activities, while also ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize activities with the crew to achieve targets
- Provide leadership to the crew, setting a positive example and assisting the team to achieve their full potential
- Clearly define and communicate performance goals and provide regular and objective feedback on performance
- Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and carry out statutory inspections and ensure mining standards
- Ensure all workers work safely and efficiently while carrying out their duties with due regard for quality of work
- Complete required levels of reporting as part of information flow on site
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- QLD / NSW First, Second or Third-class Certificate of Competency (with QLD mutual recognition if necessary)
- Relevant experience in a similar position within the mining industry
- Strong leadership acumen
- The ability to think laterally
- Strong problem-solving skills
