About You:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven professional with a strong background in coal operations and contract management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in leading large-scale underground projects, with a deep understanding of the coal industry and its complexities. They will be a strategic thinker, able to develop and implement effective plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency;
  • Lead the QLD coal operations team, providing guidance and direction to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients and stakeholders;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration;
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, developing and implementing strategies to drive growth and revenue;
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure accurate financial planning and reporting;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement process improvements, ensuring efficient and effective operations;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, applying this knowledge to drive business growth and improvement.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in coal operations and contract management, with a proven track record of success;
  • Strong understanding of the coal industry, including its complexities and regulatory requirements;
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective plans to drive business growth and improvement;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams;
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate high-performing teams;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
