About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Undermanager (ERZ Lead) to join our team at Fitzroy Mining Operations Pty. As a frontline leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day functioning and performance of the crew.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize activities with the crew to achieve targets;
  • Provide leadership to the crew, setting a positive example and assisting the team to achieve their full potential;
  • Clearly define and communicate performance goals and provide regular and objective feedback on performance;
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant statutory requirements and carry out statutory inspections and ensure mining standards;
  • Ensure all workers work safely and efficiently while carrying out their duties with due regard for quality of work;
  • Complete required levels of reporting as part of information flow on site.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • QLD / NSW First, Second or Third-class Certificate of Competency (with QLD mutual recognition if necessary)
  • Relevant experience in a similar position within the mining industry
  • Strong leadership acumen
  • The ability to think laterally
  • Strong problem-solving skills
