Overview

The Garvan Institute of Medical Research is seeking a motivated and experienced research assistant to join their team. As a research assistant, you will play a crucial role in the Cancer Plasticity and Dormancy Program.

Salary: Up to $81,300 per year + 14% super + salary packaging, making the total compensation package around $92,700 per year.

Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and processing tissue samples, developing cell isolation methods, and performing single-cell multiomic analyses. You will also conduct experiments, generate and analyze data, and record experimental procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science or Medicine
  • At least two years of laboratory experience
  • Experience in cell and molecular biology techniques
  • Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and strong computer skills
  • Experience in tissue culture and flow cytometry is desirable
