We are seeking an experienced Senior Healthcare Research Analyst to join our Australia-based team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in the healthcare sector and contribute to shaping investment strategies for our clients.

Our team of skilled analysts works collaboratively to develop valuable insights and investment ideas. As a key member, you will be responsible for analyzing individual companies and their equities within the healthcare sector, publishing reports, and initiating sales calls and marketing investment opinions.

About the Job Description

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of individual companies and their equities within the healthcare sector, providing actionable insights for our clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with the Equities sales force, traders, clients, and company management, providing regular updates and guidance on market trends and sector news flow.
  • Collaborate with junior team members to build technical and soft skills, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, economic trends, and regulatory changes affecting the ANZ Healthcare sector.
  • Contribute to the development of financial models, interpret data and analysis, and provide recommendations to clients.

About the Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 6 years of equity research experience covering the healthcare sector stocks.
  • A strong understanding of the ANZ Healthcare sector and macro economy.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and modeling skills, with a solid grounding in accounting and financial fundamentals.
  • The ability to respond quickly to changing situations and priorities.
  • Demonstrable time management and prioritization skills.
  • A PhD, Master's/Bachelor's degree in Biology or Medical degree or Economics/Finance/Accounting, and CFA qualification (preferred).

The estimated salary range for this role is between $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
