With over 35 years of expertise in manufacturing durable and efficient service bodies for various industries, MFI Automotive has established itself as a trusted partner for commercial, emergency, and recreational needs.

The successful candidate will lead MFI's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective budgeting and forecasting. This role involves close collaboration with production, operations, and senior leadership to align financial goals with business strategies.

As our financial steward, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of the organisation, influencing strategic decisions that drive success. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, directly impacting financial strategies and operational efficiency. With a focus on both hands-on management and strategic oversight, you'll be in a position to implement your ideas and drive process improvements from the ground up.

This role offers numerous challenges and opportunities for growth. Key responsibilities include:

  • Financial Statement Analysis: Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to inform business decisions.
  • Daily Accounting Operations: Manage daily accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable, to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.
  • Budget Development: Develop and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with department heads to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Cost Control: Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance to identify areas for cost reduction and improvement.
  • Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and manage working capital to support operational needs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting professional development and excellence in financial management.

Successful candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or financial management. Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills are essential. Experience in cost accounting and ERP systems is advantageous.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, the ability to influence senior decision-makers, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A proven track record of achieving high performance and financial success is highly desirable.

In return for your expertise, you can expect a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will enjoy a supportive and team-oriented work environment, with opportunities for growth and professional development.
