The Financial Controller will be responsible for leading MFI's financial operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting. This role will partner closely with production, operations, and senior leadership to align financial goals with business strategies.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of the organisation, influencing strategic decisions that drive success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with department heads
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
  • Oversee costing activities and implement cost-control measures
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain internal controls
  • Monitor cash flow and manage working capital for operational needs
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting professional development
  • Support financial strategies to enhance company performance

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred
  • 5–7 years in accounting/financial management
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel
  • Experience in cost accounting and ERP systems is advantageous
  • Business acumen; ability to influence senior decision-makers
  • Proactive, creative problem-solver with a drive for continuous improvement
  • Proven track record in achieving high performance and financial success
