The Financial Controller will lead MFI's financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting. This role partners closely with production, operations, and senior leadership to align financial goals with business strategies.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial landscape of the organisation, influencing strategic decisions that drive success.

The successful candidate will work closely with the senior leadership team, directly impacting financial strategies and operational efficiency. With a focus on both hands-on management and strategic oversight, you'll be in a position to implement your ideas and drive process improvements from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Develop and monitor annual budgets in collaboration with department heads
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance
  • Oversee costing activities and implement cost-control measures
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain internal controls
  • Monitor cash flow and manage working capital for operational needs
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, promoting professional development
  • Support financial strategies to enhance company performance
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a supportive team-oriented work environment, onsite role offering direct impact on strategic business decisions, and opportunities for career growth and professional development.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred, 5–7 years in accounting/financial management, strong proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel, experience in cost accounting and ERP systems is advantageous, business acumen; ability to influence senior decision-makers, proactive, creative problem-solver with a drive for continuous improvement, and a proven track record in achieving high performance and financial success.
