Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Canadian Solar. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the Energy Storage market segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis and Strategy: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and trends in the Energy Storage market segment.
  • Business Development: Develop and execute business plans to drive sales growth and revenue expansion in the Energy Storage market segment.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and development.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop and launch new Energy Storage products and solutions.
  • Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies and business plans to identify opportunities for product or service improvement, customization, and new product development.
  • Operational Excellence: Assess operational issues and identify opportunities to improve competitiveness, stay current with trends and innovations, and optimize pricing.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal development and delivery teams, as well as external suppliers, to ensure consistency in product and schedule expectations.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the Energy Storage, Wind, and Solar industries.
  • Business Development: Proven track record of business development experience, with a strong understanding of sales strategies and tactics.
  • Decision Making: Confident decision-making skills, with the ability to determine product guidelines and make recommendations.
  • Financial Acumen: Understanding of financial reports, including budgetary guidelines and product expenditures.
  • Entrepreneurial Spirit: Entrepreneurial background in a sales capacity, with a strong ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.
  • Critical Thinking: High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
  • Travel: Ability to travel as required, with an expected travel requirement of approximately 50-60%.
