Lead Operations Manager

The Lead Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operations for a large outdoor cinema venue in the heart of Melbourne.

This role is ideal for an experienced team leader with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

  • Manage daily site operations, including setup and pack-down
  • Coordinate season bump-in and bump-out, including production scheduling
  • Lead a team of crew members, working closely with senior staff
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to meet business objectives
  • Manage food and beverage operations, including ordering, invoicing, and stock control
  • Oversee sponsorship activations and ensure contractual deliverables are met to a high standard
  • Prepare rosters and manage payroll
  • Ensure smooth operation of audiovisual equipment, including screen and audio setup and content management
  • Implement operational plans and maintain compliance with workplace health and safety regulations

Experience in cinema or event management is advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a management role
  • Previous experience in food and beverage and customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and operational requirements
  • Experience leading and motivating a casual workforce
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and time management skills
  • A collaborative approach with a proactive attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Required: Current RSA and valid driver's license
