Our Melbourne venue is located in the Royal Botanic Gardens, offering a unique experience for guests.

Job Description

As a Venue Manager at Moonlight Cinema, you will lead operations for our Melbourne venue.

This role is ideal for an experienced team leader with a passion for events and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations, including site set-up and pack-down
  • Coordinate season bump-in and bump-out, including production scheduling
  • Lead a team of onsite crew, working closely with the Assistant Venue Manager and Production Manager
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff
  • Manage food & beverage operations (ordering, invoice processing, and stock control)
  • Oversee sponsorship activations and ensure contractual deliverables are delivered to a high standard
  • Prepare rosters and manage payroll
  • AV operations, including screen and audio set-up and content management
  • Implement management plans and ensure WHS compliance
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a management role
  • Previous experience in food and beverage and customer service
  • Cinema management or event management experience (advantageous)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Initiative, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes and operational requirements
  • Experience leading and motivating a casual workforce
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and time management skills
  • A collaborative approach with a can-do attitude
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Required: Current RSA and valid driver's license
