Job Title: Warehouse & Driver Operations Specialist

The key role of the Warehouse and Driver Operation Specialist is to ensure the smooth running of the warehouse, handling customer material and all deliveries entering and leaving the company. This position requires excellent communication skills to provide outstanding customer service at all times.

Main Responsibilities:

  • General Duties:
    • Monitor the receipt, booking in, and dispatch of cargo/goods, recording data in accordance with working procedures.
    • Ensure timely booking in of goods received and record necessary data.
    • Screen freight according to local requirements and handle correctly, identifying it as either known or unknown cargo.
    • Loading and offloading vehicles efficiently.
    • Assist with labelling and palletizing tasks.
    • Respond to queries from operational staff/customers.
    • Maintain security obligations by checking delivery driver IDs when receiving freight and completing goods check sheets.
    • Keep the warehouse tidy and organized.
    • Maintain knowledge of transport laws and procedures, sharing with colleagues as necessary.
  • Customer Focus:
    • Provide polite and positive responses to customers/colleagues.
    • Respond to queries from operational staff/customers.
    • Wear company uniform and maintain a smart appearance.
    • Display a company identity card at all times.
  • Personal Compliance / Health & Safety:
    • Adhere to health and safety policies and equipment care requirements.
    • Awareness of job standards regarding attendance, timekeeping, behaviour, and company handbook and HR Policy Manual.
    • Follow the company Health and Safety Policy.
    • Comply with the company Dress Code policy.
    • Maintain knowledge of transport laws and procedures, sharing with colleagues as necessary.
    • Familiarize yourself with and adhere to existing policy changes or new policies.
  • Personal Development:
    • Participate in annual appraisals according to industry standards with Line Manager.
    • Implement an active Personal Development Plan (PDP).
    • Complete mandatory training within required time frames and refresher courses before expiry dates.
    • Highlight areas for training with Line Manager.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Forklift Training.
  • Heavy Goods Vehicle License (HGV).
  • Previous industry experience.
  • Full 5-year work history and clean criminal record.
